Mott's Early Childhood Education Program
Early Childhood Education
This program is competency based and focuses on the NAEYC Standards for Associate Degree Programs. Students who have an AAS Early Childhood Education degree are eligible for positions as classroom assistants in Head Start and Great Start School Readiness classrooms, child care center staff, family child care providers; workers in before/after school programs and various other agencies.
Early Childhood Learning Center
The Early Childhood Learning Center provides childcare services to MCC students and the community, while providing laboratory practicum experience to students in the Early Childhood Education Program. The ECLC also provides experiences for other Mott programs and courses including Storytelling and Dental Hygiene. Students gain practical experience under the guidance of the staff of the ECLC.

ERIC (Educational Resources Information Center) is the world's most widely used index to educational-related literature. Established in 1966, ERIC is supported by the U.S. Department of Education's Office of Educational Research and Improvement and is administered by the U.S. National Library of Education (NLE).
